Trent Reed Racing is a racing team based out of California. They race a car commonly known as a Micro Sprint or Mini Sprint. The chassis is manufactured by PMP Chassis in Fresno, California and is powered by a 600 cc Yamaha R6 motor built by Gordon Seros Racing Engines. It generates approximately 200 horse power and runs at speeds in excess of 70 mph. While this doesn’t seem very fast, it is exceptionally fast considering these cars race on dirt oval tracks ranging in size from 1/5 mile to 1/4 mile. The wings on the top and the nose of the car are designed to add additional down force on the car through the corners to improve handling.

While Trent is a teenager, he competes in a class that races across the nation with participants from 12 years of age and up. These cars are commonly seen as the stepping stones to the full-size sprint cars that race on the ASCS Lucas Oil Nationals and World of Outlaw Series' across the country. If Trent Reed Racing continues at their current pace, the likes of those that participate within the current top touring series should look for his name on the entry lists in the near future.
